The Souliotes are informed that Ali Pasha is preparing to attack and push Souli. But Fotos Tzavellas and his lads are ready to defend their freedom. Ali Pasha decides to besiege Souli, but the brave Souliotes will not fall into the hands of the Turks alive. The drama culminates by finding the Souliotisses in Zalogo, singing "On the land does not live the fish ..." and sacrificing dancing and falling to the cliff with their babies in the arms and men to decide to die by blowing the monastery at Kugi.
